Firefly introduces Subang-Kerteh service
Firefly introduced (16-Feb-09) its unique route from Subang - Kerteh on 12-Jan-09 and 16-Feb-09, the route was officially launched by the Chief Minister of Terengganu. Firefly's twice-daily flights from Subang to Kerteh signify the carrier's commitment in expanding its domestic network.

In his speech, the Chief Minister said, "The oil and gas industry is our top economy contributor to Terengganu; we are pleased with this connection offered by Firefly as it will expand the economic benefits to our state. The number of Malaysians and foreigners traveling into Terengganu will now increase and we look forward to exposing our tourism and leisure spots to a different level, namely the international tourism market. And I have just been informed by Eddy Leong, MD of Firefly that Firefly intends to fly directly from Kuala Terengganu to Singapore, with this I am even more confident of the economic boost for Terengganu's economy."

Managing Director of Firefly, Mr. Eddy Leong said, "We are pleased to offer this new route to Kerteh. This route is our commitment in providing alternative, affordable travel for all Malaysians. The main objective is to provide convenient transportation into and out of Kerteh that is economical, both in terms of time and money". He also added that the flight time into Kerteh and Subang was set for the convenience of the oil and gas industry who commutes daily for work.
