SkyEurope transported a total of 173,692 passengers in Jan-09 with a load factor of 62.5% a 4.1pp improvement from Jan-08. In the 12 months ended Jan-08, the Company carried 3,576,747 passengers with a load factor of 74.0%.
Nick Manoudakis, CFO, stated: “This is the second straight month we have improved our load factor and revenue per passenger even during the winter. This indicates that our network is maturing and improving as a result of the elimination of poor-performing flights in order to focus on our core strong-performing flights.”
The decrease in passengers carried reflects a planned capacity reduction undertaken for the Winter period to address the present demand.
