Air Berlin reports another revenue growth

In Jan-09, Air Berlin reported a double-digit increase in its revenue per available seat kilometer (Yield per ASK). Compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, revenue per available seat kilometer increased 23%. Fleet capacity utilisation improved by 0.3 percentage points to reach 69.4% (2008: 69.1%).
Although capacity for the month of January was reduced by 4.9%, the number of passengers decreased by only 4.5%, reaching 1,701,780 passengers (2008: 1,781,556).
