Sama signs material support agreement with Lufthansa Technik

Lufthansa Technik and Sama Airlines signed (21-Jan-09) a contract for Total Material Operations TMO. According to the agreement, Lufthansa Technik will provide material and engineering services for the carrier’s fleet of six B737-300s.
The services will commence in March. Lufthansa Technik’s Total Material Operations TMO product will cover all material operations including pooling, MRO services and the supply with all aircraft materials from consumables and expendables to cabin parts.
Walter Heerdt, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales of Lufthansa Technik said, “We are very happy and proud to have gained the trust of Sama, one of the most ambitious airlines in the Middle East. I am confident that the Total Material Operations TMO product will fully meet our customer’s high expectations in terms of a reliable support and access to Lufthansa Technik’s know-how for this aircraft type as well as Sama’s high standards of cabin comfort and safety.”
