Ryanair announces 19th European base and another wave of European expansion
Ryanair announced plans to establish its 19th European base of operations in Dusseldorf Weeze International Airport, a former military airbase, located approximately 70 km Northwest of Dusseldorf. The carrier will base two B737 aircraft at the airport from Jun-07, and is promoting the location as a competitive, low cost alternative to Dusseldorf International Airport.

Ryanair will initially operate 10 routes from its new base: Alghero, Alicante, Barcelona, Glasgow, London, Palma, Rome, Shannon, Stockholm and Venice – see Route Changes Table for more information.
