SkyEurope Jan seat load factor up 10.3 pct pts yr-on-yr

VIENNA (AFX) - Low-cost carrier SkyEurope said today that its seat load factor increased 10.3 pct points to 73.7 pct in January from a year earlier, but was down 3.2 pct points on the month.

In January, SkyEurope carried 184,041 passengers, a year-on-year increase of 38.1 pct, compared with 192,255 in December.

In the 12 months ended January 2007 the Vienna-listed airline said its load factor increased 1.4 pct pts to 78.1 pct.

SkyEurope will start flights out of Vienna to 16 cities in Europe on March 25. The airline uses Bratislava's Stefanik airport as its home base.
