Air Berlin and NIKI conclude co-operation agreement with Opera Ro-mana Pellegrinaggi

Air Berlin and NIKI have concluded (16-Dec-08) a co-operation agreement with Opera Ro-mana Pellegrinaggi (ORP) to promote the sales of its Rome flights during the Pauline Year.

 

ORP is the Vatican institution that organises and markets pilgrimage tours and the development of incoming travel to Rome. Pilgrims from Germany and Austria arranging their trip to Rome via the Church’s tour operator, ORP, will be flying to the Eternal City exclusively on Air Berlin or NIKI.

As well as flights operated by the Air Berlin Group, the pilgrimage packages to Rome offered by ORP include the "Vatican and Rome Card". This entitles the cardholder to free travel by local public transport, a visit to the Basilica of St. Paul and an open-bus tour to the Christian sights of Rome.

Air Berlin offers direct flights to Rome from Berlin, Düsseldorf and Hamburg, while NIKI flies Austrian passengers non-stop from Vienna. In addition, both airlines offer connecting flights from many German and Austrian cities.
