WestJet launches new feature for online bookings
WestJet added (11-Dec-08) a new feature to the booking portion of its web site to show guests how many seats remain at a certain price or on specific flight. The seats remaining feature will show guests when there are nine or fewer seats left at a fare level or on the aircraft itself.

The online countdown will not be displayed unless there are fewer than 10 seats remaining.

Hugh Dunleavy, WestJet Executive Vice-President of Commercial Distribution said, "WestJet is committed to providing guests with new options to enhance their experience and the seats remaining feature is designed to help guests plan their travel. This enhancement to westjet.com will be very popular for guests who don't want to miss a seat sale or worry about a flight selling out. Now they will know exactly what's left, so they can make a decision."
