Jetstar named ‘CAPA Low Cost Airline of the Year’
The Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation (CAPA) has named Jetstar the CAPA Low Cost Airline of the Year in the Asia Pacific region for the second consecutive year. It is the third time the carrier has won the prestigious aviation award since its operational launch in May-04 and subsequent large expansion of both short and long haul low fare services.

Jetstar Chief Executive Officer Bruce Buchanan was in Singapore to accept the award at CAPA’s Gala Awards Dinner and address the Aviation Outlook Asia Conference featuring the Asia Pacific region’s pre-eminent aviation leaders.

Mr Buchanan said the CAPA award recognised Jetstar’s continued focus on innovations and growth of the brand and product offering.

Mr Buchanan said, “Over the last 12-months, we have continued to grow our low fares offering to not only more Australians with more services and routes, but have introduced the Jetstar low fares brand to new exciting markets in Japan and Vietnam.”
