To celebrate the new destination the airline is offering a special Brisbane – Honiara launch fare of AUD249* on sale now until midnight 10-Oct-08 or until sold out for travel from 02-Dec-08 until 31-Mar-09. Regular lead-in fares will start from AUD379* one way on the internet.
Virgin Blue Chief Executive, Brett Godfrey, said, “This is the third brand new international destination we’ve announced in as many weeks and it’s exciting, particularly in this current climate, to be able to continue our expansion into new territories.”
Pacific Blue will also boost services between Brisbane and Wellington from 01-Dec-08, increasing the seasonal frequency on this route from five to eight flights a week.
Brett Godfrey finished, “As with all our routes we keep a close eye on loadings and market demand and we believe the additional capacity on the Brisbane – Wellington route will be warmly welcomed by the travelling public in both directions who are looking for a convenient schedule, great value and outstanding service.”
