Cebu Pacific, WWF’s Bright Skies project generates half a million in donations in Aug-08

Project Bright Skies, the carbon emissions offsetting advocacy of Cebu Pacific, and World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF-Philippines), has generated PHP565,376 in cash donations in Aug-08. The joint programme commenced on 19-Jul-08.
Project ‘Bright Skies’ is a programme by which Cebu passengers can help affected communities adapt to the effects of climate change by offsetting the carbon emissions from their air travel through WWF donations through the CEB website.
CEB is currently the only airline in the Philippines that offers passengers an opportunity to make a donation for climate change adaptation programmes.
