GOL plans USD2.5 billion investment to 2010.

GOL confirmed (23-Feb-06) plans to invest BRL5.2 billion (USD2.45 billion) between 2006 and 2010 with particular emphasis on expanding its fleet.

The carrier is planning to operate 54 aircraft by the end of 2006 (up from 42 in Dec-05), and 86 B737NGs by 2010. GOL also confirmed it is considering launching services from Sao Paulo or Rio de Janeiro to Lima, Quito and Bogota.
