AirAsia boosts Ho Chi Minh city flights
Effective from 26-Oct-08, Kuala Lumpur will increase frequency from 7 to 11 flights weekly (increase of 4 times weekly). Meanwhile, Bangkok flights will go daily from 4 weekly flights to 7 flights weekly.
To celebrate the additional flights AirAsia has introduced promotional fares from just RM49* from Kuala Lumpur to Ho Chi Minh, with bookings beginning on 25-Sept to 10-Oct-08 for travel period between 26-Oct to 31-Jul-09 and BHT699* from Bangkok to Ho Chi Minh, with bookings from 29-Sep to 10-Oct-08, for travel 26-Oct to 28-Mar-09.
Kathleen Tan, Regional Head of Commercial, AirAsia, said: “The demand for the existing routes made it very clear for the need to introduce additional flights. Kuala Lumpur - Ho Chi Minh was operating with an average load factor of 86 per cent since the launch of the route in April 2008. On the other hand, the Bangkok-Ho Chi Minh route recorded average 90 per cent load factor. We are pleased to be able to unveil the additional flights to cater for the demand.”
“Since April we have carried more than 30,000 guests between Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh, and more than 50,000 guests from Kuala Lumpur to the city. Our guests constitute a mixture of leisure seekers and business people. We urge people interested in flying to Ho Chi Minh City to look out for our promotional fares running until 5th October.”
