Maurice J. Gallagher, Allegiant Air president & CEO, said, "We are pleased to bring the Allegiant brand of low-fare, nonstop jet service to the Gallatin Valley," This is an exciting new addition for our airline and our customers as we launch the only nonstop, all jet service between Bozeman and Las Vegas."
The new flights will operate two times weekly between Gallatin Field Airport and McCarran International Airport (Las Vegas), with service Thursday and Sunday. Beginning Oct. 9, flights will depart Bozeman at 10:45 a.m. arriving in Las Vegas at 11:40 a.m. Flights leaving Las Vegas will depart at 7:05 a.m. arriving in Bozeman at 10:05 a.m. (all flight times are local).
Ted Mathis, Airport Director said, "We’re very pleased to have Allegiant Air begin nonstop service to Las Vegas from Gallatin Field," "Bozeman and all of Southwest Montana will benefit from the new service to one of our most popular destinations and we expect it to be very successful."
The carrier will utilize a full-size, 150-seat MD-80 jet aircraft on the route. The airline said its market research and input from local community leaders indicate the Gallatin Valley will welcome the new nonstop flights and low fares to Las Vegas as an alternative to connecting flights or long drives to other airports.
