| Air One Profile |
The timetables for flights from Athens have been planned to allow customers to fly there and back all in the same day, ideal for business travellers. Furthermore, flights from Athens to Malpensa make for easy connections to many other Air One inter-continental destinations, such as Boston and Chicago.
Air One passengers departing from Milan have the chance to utilise convenient services like self- and mobile check-in to check-in online or via palm pilot quickly and with no wait time. Plus, those who business-class travellers can take advantage of VIP Lounges in three airports: Goldair Lounge in Athens, VIP Lounge in Thessaloniki, and the “Respighi” Room located in Terminal 1 of the Milan airport.
It is also possible to earn frequent flier miles on Lufthansa’s Miles & More program on all flights on the Milan, Athens and Thessaloniki route. Connections for Milan operated by Air One are co-chaired in collaboration with Aegean, Air One’s partner airline, with whom there has been a long-standing code-share agreement on many routes between Italy and Greece. With these new flights Air One strengthens its presence in Greece: besides summer flights operating from Rome Fiumicino to Athens, Crete and Corfu, Air One – since June 2006 – flies from Athens to Naples, guaranteeing convenient connections toward the airline network’s major destinations: Catania, Palermo, Turin, Venice, Milan and Munich (in codeshare with Lufthansa).
This new series of flights for Athens and Thessaloniki is part of the airline’s strategic expansion of its overseas network: Air One, whose domestic flights already crisscross the Italian territory, has in the past few months strengthened its International presence and now reaches 18 European destinations (eight of which are scheduled in the summer months) as well as two inter-continental destinations.
