Nok Air expanding fleet and planning Bangalore service.
Nok Air announced (04-Jul-06) plans to triple the size of its fleet over the next two and a half years by leasing an additional ten B737-400s.
The carrier will take delivery of two aircraft in Oct-06 and one every quarter for the next two years. The carrier also plans to launch Bangkok-Bangalore service in 2006, and add up to four additional domestic destinations to the eight it currently serves by 1Q07. Nok Air currently operates four leased B737-400s from Thai Airways and a single ATR 72.
