AirAsia’s Kuantan route launch completes AirAsia’s domestic expansion in Peninsular Malaysia
AirAsia celebrated another achievement by officially launching its final destination in Kuantan on 10-Jun-08. To mark its success in capturing the local market and to celebrate its inaugural flight to Kuantan, a reception was held at the Hyatt Regency Kuantan Resort, which was attended by over 150 guests comprised of VIPs, the people of the media and other invited guests from Kuala Lumpur and Kuantan.

 

The launch was officiated by His Royal Highness, The Crown Prince of Pahang, Tengku Abdullah Al-Haj ibni Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah and Her Royal Highness, The Crown Princess of Pahang, Tunku Hajjah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Binti Al-Mutawakkil Alallah Sultan Iskandar with AirAsia Group CEO, YBhg Dato’ Sri Tony Fernandes. The event was also attended by the presence of YAB Dato’ Sri Haji Adnan bin Haji Yaacob, Chief Minister of Pahang.

As of 01-Jun-08, AirAsia introduced daily flights from LCCT to the Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Airport. With Kuantan added into its current domestic route plan, AirAsia has finally established flights to all destinations in Peninsular Malaysia.

Meanwhile, AirAsia is celebrating the Kuala Lumpur–Kuantan route launch with a Mega Sale which commenced on 10-Jun-08, with fares for the route from RM1 for one way travel.
