Vueling sees ‘significantly higher’ ticket price hikes in Q2 after 5 pct in Q1

(XFN Asia) Vueling Airlines SA will see significantly higher ticket price increases in the second quarter than the 5% rise seen in the first quarter, according to Vueling CFO, Antonio Grau. Grau said that the price hike on tickets was EUR3 euros per person in the first quarter, due to soaring oil and the euro/dollar exchange impact. Vueling makes 54% of its purchases in dollars, including fuel, fleet rental and maintenance, Grau noted.
