Jet2 reported (16-Jun-06) it carried 2.3 million passengers in the 12 months ended 31-Mar-06.

The carrier, based at Leeds Bradford Airport, operates a fleet of 22 B737-300 and three B757-200 aircraft to 26 destinations across Europe from six airports in the North of England.

Jet2 has a contract with Royal Mail to carry mail and six of its B737-300s are 'quick change' versions, allowing the seats to be removed and mail containers to be loaded in 40 minutes for overnight services. The carrier has hedged more than 80% of its fuel requirements for the next year at average rates lower than the current market price.
